Professional (f/m/x) for capacity building to support forced returnees and internally displaced persons in Honduras
Your fields of action.
  • You will analyse the causes and effects of migration and displacement in Honduras, taking into account gender aspects
  • You use research findings and international best practices to develop a human rights-based strategy against forced migration and for the reintegration of returnees
  • You will design training courses on global mechanisms for protecting the rights of migrants and displaced persons
  • You strengthen the LWF in building strategic alliances with relevant organisations in the region
  • Your fundraising ideas promote the thematic work of the LWF
Your competences.
  • After successfully completing your studies (e.g. political or social sciences, law), you have gained work experience, preferably in the context of Central America, on the topics of forced displacement, migration and return policy and the implementation of protection measures
  • You have in-depth experience in working with non-governmental organisations, including platforms and social movements
  • You feel at home in an intercultural, church environment
  • You are business fluent in Spanish and have a good command of English

The project.
You will support the partner organisation in Honduras and the regional office in El Salvador by strengthening their capacity to implement their migration programmes.

DÜ selects these ecumenically and developmentally committed professionals according to standardised procedures, trains them in intensive preparation for service lasting several weeks and accompanies them during their time abroad and after their return.
